Jacksonville Florida- A tragic motorcycle crash has claimed the life of a father of 4 young children. Christopher Cheshire was only 39 years old enjoying what he believed to be a safe leisure ride on his motorcycle when he was struck by an SUV and a van. Cheshire was on his motorcycle on Blanding Blvd. near Confederate Point Road when an SUV collided with his motorcycle. Cheshire was struck a second time by a van traveling in the opposite direction. Cheshire was characterized as a family man that loved his kids and a business owner. Known as a motorcyclist that took safety seriously a careful rider. The crash happened around 5:30 pm. on Saturday. Christopher Cheshire died at the scene. According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office both drivers are cooperating with the investigation.

Over the last 20 years motorcycle fatalities have doubled with most years showing small increases.
